FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
How does virtual design service work? It’s a good question and I’m here to break it down.
For those within a 25-mile radius, a home visit from our designer can be scheduled to obtain the measurements and photos necessary to recreate your space. If you are outside that radius or don’t have the time to schedule a visit; a camera, a tape measure, and an email address are all you need!
What measurements do you need? All of them.
Walls to ceiling, doors, and windows. Their placement is equally as important as size. In order to build an accurate replica of your space, every aspect should be accounted for. The furniture used and spatial flow is taken into account within the design to provide for your benefit, appropriately sized pieces, and placement; but if the space isn’t accurate from the start it can lead to some issues down the road.
How do you decide what to do? With your guidance.
A quick brief can provide your designer with the necessary details to guide them through designing your space. Any detail you can offer in terms of color, flow, purpose, and vision will be used to make this space your own. Our designers will always be able to transform your venue, but the goal is for it to become a true reflection of you – not us.
What can I expect? A customizable blueprint.
Our design will come as a fully furnished rendition of your future space within a week. Our goal is to provide you with a vision inclusive of colors, layouts, placements, and pieces. Rendition services include 3 free changes per room to truly tailor your space. Clients are free to build their space exactly as it is presented to them, a full list of sourced materials is available upon request, but we also encourage you to make it your own. How you bring your blueprint to life is completely up to you.
Do you complete the work as well? No.
Our designer will provide you with a plan of attack. We can provide you with a list of materials and amounts if you plan to do the work yourself, or we can provide you with the contact information of a referred professional.
